Together We’re Better, the partnership transforming health and social care in Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent, is inviting local people to help shape the NHS for the next 70 years.
The NHS is celebrating its 70th birthday on 5th July and Together We’re Better, the Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent Sustainability and Transformation Partnership (STP), would like you to hold a tea party and, over a cuppa, share your experiences of what is good about the NHS and what needs to change.
These celebrations, dubbed ‘Staffordshire Tea Party’ and ‘Stoke-on-Trent Tea Party’, will provide an excellent opportunity for local people to help shape the NHS for the next 70 years.
Much like similar coffee mornings we see at different points throughout the year, Together We’re Better is encouraging local staff, patients and members of the public to take this as a chance to show off their baking skills and enjoy and slice of cake and a cup of tea with colleagues, friends and family to celebrate one of the nation’s most loved institutions.
The NHS nationally has created packs for tea parties such as these, which will collectively be called the ‘NHS Big 7Tea’. Registration for these packs can be completed at http://www.nhsbig7tea.co.uk/
Be sure to include the hashtag #StaffsTeaParty or #StokeTeaParty to post your best ideas for the future of the NHS, as well as any photographs of your event, and follow the hashtag throughout the day to see other celebrations across the City and County.
Simon Whitehouse, Together We’re Better Director, said: “The 70th birthday of the NHS will kick off the next phase of engagement for Together We’re Better, as we seek ideas from local people across Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent who have used local health services before. We welcome any ideas for improvement, and these tea parties are a great way to get together and discuss how we can make local health and care services fit for the next 70 years.”
If you would like to throw a tea party, or are planning to celebrate in another way, please let Together We’re Better know via email@example.com.
